Maybank will extend its banking

in view of the 5-day work week to be observed by the banking industry.
The extended banking hours with effect from February 01, 2006
will be as follows:
I. All states except Kelantan and Terengganu
Monday to Thursday -9.15 am to 4.30 pm
Friday - 9.15 am to 4.00 pm
II. Kelantan and Terengganu

more banking hours compared with the previous 5 ½ day working

we have extended the banking hours to enable our customers to
enjoy greater banking flexibility,” said Encik Agil Natt,
Deputy President of Maybank.
“We are also offering Saturday Banking
at 26 selected Maybank branches nationwide which are primarily
located at major shopping complexes and areas that have high customer
traffic. The branches will offer selected number of banking services
mainly for remittances and payments as well as deposits, sales
and financial advisory service. The branches will also cater to
their home branch customers, i.e. customers who have their accounts
maintained at these branches,” added Encik Agil.
The banking hours for the 26 branches offering
Saturday Banking (List in Appendix 1) will be from 11.00 am to
2.00 pm. These branches will, however, be closed on gazetted public
holidays.
Encik Agil stated that notwithstanding the 5-day
work week, customers who require basic banking transactions on
Saturdays can also use Maybank’s various delivery channels
namely self service terminals such as ATMS, cash and cheque deposit
machines, passbook update machines, Maybank2u.com, Maybank2e.net,
phone banking or mobile banking services.
Maybank has more than 2,600 self service terminals
including over 1,400 ATMs nationwide. In addition to these, Maybank
has 58 forex booths which operate 7 days a week for 8 hours daily
at strategic locations in the country where customers can also
send remittances, purchase foreign worker’s demand draft
(TAKA), buy or encash travelers cheques as well as cash advances
on Visa and Mastercard.
