Residents or non-residents can open and maintain Foreign Currency Account (FCA) with any of our branches. The FCA is available in more than 15 major currencies.

Foreign Currency Account
1.	No minimum amount is required to open FCA for companies. However, the minimum initial deposit amount for individuals is fixed at UDS 1,000 (or equivalent).
2.	The Bank is also paying interest to Foreign Currency Account in AUD and EUR curencies to all individuals and non-individuals (Company) subject to minimum balance as follows:
	Currency Interest Rate Minimum Balance to Earn Interest Individual Non-Individual (Company) AUD 1.0% p.a AUD3,000 AUD10,000 EUR 1.0% p.a EUR3,000 EUR10,000
3.	The interest will be computed on a daily basis and credited in the FCA account on the 1st day of the following month.
4.	The interest will be credited in their respective currencies.

 

Placement of Foreign Currency Deposit
1.	Only USD placed on call basis need to observe a minimum deposit of USD50,000 for corporations and companies.
2.	Placements other than on call shall be subjected to the following conditions:
	Individuals – minimum of USD5,000 or equivalent Companies – minimum of USD20,000 or equivalent
