Outward Documentary Collection (ODC)
Outward Documentary Collection is the bills received from customers (seller) under open account to be submitted to buyer's bank either in Malaysia/ outside Malaysia to:
a)	Obtain payment/ acceptance from buyer
b)	Deliver documents against payment (D/P), or
c)	Deliver documents against acceptance and/ or to obtain payment on maturity date

Salient features of ODC
•	ODC is applicable for both, local and foreign transaction
•	For local transaction, before claim is made seller would normally have to deliver the goods to the buyer and the buyer would have to acknowledge receipt of goods. The delivery order is to be presented to the bank when the claim is made
•	For foreign transaction, the transport documents together with other documents such as invoice, packing list etc are normally presented and the document will only be released to buyer when payment arrangement is made
•	Further enquiries can be made at any of our Trade Finance Centres or Business Centre nationwide

Benefits of ODC to customer (seller)
•	May facilitate post-export financing for eligible customers
•	Documents of title for the goods will not be released to the buyer (drawee) until payment or acceptance has been affected
